Marcia Greenberg-Kagan

A dedicated and experienced candidate for borough council, Marcia is a retired special education teacher from the William Penn School District. She has a strong commitment to education and community. Marcia holds an MA in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri and a BA from Bradley University, showcasing her dedication to learning and growth. Her active involvement as an Inspector of Elections in Clifton Heights Ward 1 from 2017 to 2021 demonstrates her commitment to ensuring fair and transparent governance. Marcia has been a proud resident and homeowner in Clifton Heights since 2009, making her deeply invested in the well-being and prosperity of the borough and its residents.

John Cannon

As a seasoned community leader with a strong background as a former union board member and organizer; John understands the importance of collaboration and advocacy for workers’ rights. He’s also a dedicated environmentalist, actively participating in the Save the Bay Chesapeake Bay Watershed conservation movement. As a Clifton Heights homeowner since 1995, John is deeply invested in our borough’s future and is committed to preserving its unique character while promoting sustainable growth and prosperity for all residents. Lisa Batt

A dedicated professional committed to her community, Lisa holds a Master’s in Classical Archaeology from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for learning. She has honed her organizational and leadership skills as an Executive Assistant at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. Lisa has been actively involved in local politics, serving as the Inspector of Elections for Clifton Heights Ward 3-2 since 2021. A proud Clifton Heights resident and homeowner since 2003, she understands her neighbors’ unique needs and concerns. She is eager to advocate for positive change as a borough council member. Mary K. Dougherty

A dedicated resident and homeowner in Clifton Heights since 1992, Mary brings a wealth of experience and a passion for community well-being to her candidacy for borough council. With a background as a licensed psychologist and therapist, Mary holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s degree from Macalester College. Her previous role as a school psychologist underscores her commitment to education and youth development. Mary’s volunteer work as a Fairmount Park Women’s Softball team coach further exemplifies her dedication to fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie within the community. As a candidate for borough council, Mary aims to leverage her expertise and deep-rooted ties to Clifton Heights to advocate for the needs and concerns of her fellow residents.
